HOW I SPENT LAST SUMMER

The project “How I Spent Last Summer” is a photographic diary of family vacations, filled with personal observations and subtle irony.

The dependency of children on gadgets is no longer a secret. Through this series, the author explores how screen reality seeps into daily life, creating invisible walls between generations. The photographs delicately highlight how adults can feel isolated, even when surrounded by children absorbed in their devices.

The project gains an additional layer of depth through the comments of the author’s own children, who suggest creating a follow-up series where the gadgets are in the hands of adults. Their observation is accurate—digital dependency has long become a unifying factor bridging different generations in a world dominated by screens.

The series was shot on an iPhone, adding an ironic touch and reminding us that gadgets can serve both as tools for creativity and as symbols of modern-day addiction.

This project is an invitation to reflect: are we deceiving ourselves by thinking that only children are lost in the world of screens?
