Self-Portrait

I used to be unable to photograph myself, unable to accept my appearance; there were many things about myself I didn’t like. It was like this from my teenage years.

Now, I’ve decided to capture myself, to embrace my aging, the changes in my body after giving birth to my children.

Gradually, I’m becoming accustomed to this new journey, slipping into the roles of my heroines. They are not me, but rather expressions of the emotions that inspire me in the moment. Yet, as I craft these works, I feel a profound sense of self-acceptance washing over me.
